I play drums, guitar, bass and electronics/sampling. In the past, I ve played in many bands from Scotland and the North East of England (I played in my first aged 13, and all have had varying degrees of "success", although all were done for fun). Some of minor note have included:
Ordinaryson (later R.I.D.N.A.) (Alex Tronic Records) - Toured with The Go! Team, and Lo-Fidelity Allstars The ZX81s (TapeDekRok) Somethingelse (who became Won Mississippi, listed in Jockrock.org's Top Ten Scottish albums 2000-2009) de-CIPHER VCI JJ Hallow
I've also guested a number of times with other bands, and most recently comedy rock group Dead Cat Bounce, at festivals in Australia, Ireland and the UK, and during their time as the Late N Live house band at the Gilded Balloon.
I am also a keen DJ / remixer and keep at it when I have the time! I have supported DJ Tom Loud as warm-up DJ for "Hot Dub Time Machine", as well as being resident DJ for the popular but short lived "Colony" night in Northumberland. I still pop up here-and-there playing at house parties, and after-show festival events.
I am a budding writer / director of live performance, working particularly with solo comedy performers, and have contributed material and co-direction (as yet uncredited at my request) to many live shows in the past. I hope to continue to develop my skills in this area in the future, and eventually test myself on a production of my own!
I have contributed, and been a live studio guest on 3RRR radio Melbourne's "Superfluity" show.
As part of my work with various companies, I have been responsible for recording a number of live editions of popular comedy podcasts, including Melbourne's "The Sweetest Plum", and the internationally successful "WTF with Marc Maron".
